MissDemeanor light up the townspeople for Christmas - VIDEO DIARY .

IT'S not easy being a girl band.

Rubbing shoulders with celebrities, glamorous costumes and acting to thousands of screaming fans.

But local girlband MissDemeanor are winning it all in their stride.

The Barnsley group have had a busy couple of weeks, helping to clean up the area in time for the Christmas season.

The gorgeous foursome have been hanging out with Scouting for Girls, Joe McElderry and Lloyd Daniels whilst holding the crowds warm at Barnsley and Sheffield city light switch-ons.

They've also lit up the skies at Sheffield's After Dark 2010 concert, along with X Factor's own John Adeleye.

Kirsty (17), Laura (17), Toria (20) and Vicki (21) had a blast rocking the 20,000-strong crowd at Don Valley Bowl on November 5th with a 45 minute set of Lady Gaga, Robbie Williams and Katie Perry.

On November 17 they boogied along with the Barnsley crowds and lit up the township with X Factor hunk Lloyd. Lloyd snuck into the girls changing room for a visit and told them all around the busy year he's been having since leaving the X Factor last December. He even ventured out in face of the point when they were acting to get a glance of the girls in action.

On November 21 MissD joined X Factor winner Joe McElderry and Roy, Peter and Greg from Scouting for Girls at Sheffield's city centre ight switch-on. The girls braved the frigid to see Joe and Scouting rock the present before they got up themselves to end the show.

"We've had an awesome couple of weeks!" said the girls.

"Cute celebrities, hot chocolate, singing to thousands - nice work if you can get it!"

So there you take it - their influence is done, the area is light and Santa is a-coming!
